All this time I thought we were developing technology to help us with our work, so that we’d have more leisure time. I should have known that the bots would eventually take over our recreation too…

It’s not as though there haven’t been warning shots. For years computers have been cleaning up at chess, and now bots are even figuring out how to play poker. It seems like the human race is innovating itself right into obsolescence. First we don’t have to do work on our own, now we aren’t even needed to play our own games. Once they perfect a bot that can watch re-runs and burp, human beings might as well give up and go home.
